Kentucky Society of Health-System Pharmacists Recruiting Partners Program
KSHP (KY) has developed a new program this year that was designed to give health care employers (Human Resource Representatives, Director of Pharmacy, COO) a venue to make contact with pharmacists interested or currently practicing in health care settings. Recognizing that it is often difficult to recruit outside of the college's October interview days, KSHP's leaders felt that this opportunity would be beneficial to employers and pharmacists or technicians looking to make a career changes.
The KSHP Institutional Recruiting Partners (KIRP) program allows health care facilities to partner with KSHP and participate as sponsoring vendors for health-system pharmacists and technicians to network and learn about new career opportunities for pharmacists in these practice settings. These institutional recruiting partners will interact and engage with practicing pharmacists who may be interested in changing positions or entering an institutional practice setting.
The KIRP program would offer participating partners the following:
- A display table in the exhibit area at the designated KSHP meeting with vendor access to the meeting.
- Designated space and time to conduct interview sessions with pharmacists and/or technicians
- KSHP website feature article and link to corporate website (as submitted by partner)
- Complimentary postings for career opportunities on KSHP website during the membership year.
- First option to send participants to KSHP Specialty Meeting
KSHP plans to market the program starting this fall to hospital human resource departments with the first implementation at our spring 2008 meeting.
